Since its establishment in 1962, PFA has contributed significantly to the growth and development of the financing and lending industry in the Philippines.
The Philippine Finance Association (PFA) is the leading association of financing, leasing, and lending companies in the Philippines.
Founded in 1962 as the Philippine Association of Finance Companies Inc. (PAFCI), the Association was organized by pioneers in the financing industry to promote responsible financing practices and support the growth of the industry in the Philippines.
In 1997, the Association officially became the Philippine Finance Association (PFA) to expand its membership to financing, leasing, lending, and other financial institutions engaged in consumer finance activities.
PFA works to promote a stronger finance industry by connecting members, supporting best practices, and engaging with stakeholders on matters that affect the sector.
Today, PFA continues to serve as a platform for collaboration, professional development, industry representation, and policy engagement among financing, leasing, and lending companies in the country.
Carlo Enrico B. Lazatin has extensive experience spanning corporate finance, consumer lending, MSME finance, real estate, FMCG, governance, advisory, and regulatory engagement. He has actively contributed to initiatives involving industry development and regulatory engagement and advocates innovation, sustainable growth, and stronger collaboration in advancing the Philippine financial sector. He serves on various industry boards and organizations, including FINEX Foundation, FINEX Academy, ALIP, and CMFDI. He currently serves as the 2026 President of FINEX.
Ms. Alfaro is a CPA, and the first Filipino to earnthe prestigious ICVS-A, CVA, ETA CPP™, and Python Machine Learning professional certifications. As President and CEO of FIFC, she has steered the company through growth and profitability while assisting corporate clients through their respective growth. A UP Diliman honors graduate with a double degree, she has held senior leadership roles across finance, investment, banking, intangible assets valuation, and digital payments.
Ron is a seasoned finance executive with experience across private, non-profit, and local government sectors. He brings expertise in strategic finance, governance, and organizational leadership, with a strong background in financial management and institution-building. His experience across service organizations in the Finance, BPO, and non-profit sectors has strengthened his ability to develop financial strategies, promote sound governance practices, and support meaningful collaboration with industry partners.
Arnaldo “Jun” Bacabac, is a seasoned leader with deep industry expertise. A graduate of BS Economics from UP - Diliman, Jun has extensive experience in the banking, leasing, and financing industries and has developed a strong foundation in credit, risk and financial management. Beyond his contributions to ORIX METRO, he has served as a Director of CMAP and was a Director and a Past President of the PFA.
Benedict Carandang is an advocate of SME lending and supporting small and medium enterprises as drivers of economic growth. He holds a Double Bachelor Degree in Applied Economics and Management of Financial Institutions from De La Salle University–Manila and earned his MBA from the University of Westminster in London as a UK Chevening Scholar. His expertise spans fintech, creative entrepreneurship, and business development, supported by executive education from Stanford University, Harvard Kennedy School, and Yale University.
Atty. Maribel M. Dimayuga is a lawyer with over 20 years of experience in regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and legal advisory services. She has held senior compliance and legal leadership roles in the financing, banking, and insurance sectors and actively supports the advancement of governance and compliance standards through leadership and professional development initiatives.
Louie F. Nonesa has extensive leadership experience across fintech, banking, remittance, and both life and non-life insurance sectors. A value-based leader, he advocates financial inclusion, meaningful growth, and organizational excellence. Guided by people-centered leadership principles and a strong commitment to innovation, he promotes sustainable business practices and empowering organizations and teams to achieve long-term success.
Francisco M. Padilla III specializes in compliance systems, governance, and regulatory frameworks, with extensive experience in anti-money laundering, data privacy, and consumer protection. He began his compliance career in 2013 and has built strong expertise in regulatory systems and industry practices. Since joining the Philippine Finance Association Board in 2023, he has actively represented the industry and contributed to various professional and regulatory engagements.
Atty. Jude R. Romano served as President of PFA for three consecutive terms from 2019 to 2022, leading initiatives that strengthened the Association’s partnerships with regulators and reinforced its role as a leading voice for the financing and lending industry. During his tenure, he actively represented industry interests before legislative and regulatory bodies and advocated for policies supportive of responsible lending and financial inclusion. Prior to joining the industry, he served for 10 years as an International War Crimes Prosecutor with the United Nations Mission in Kosovo and in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Atty. Jude is a product of UP and Ateneo de Manila University School of Law.
Mariflor France Pelayo Reyes is a finance and governance professional with over two decades of experience in business development, risk management, leasing operations, and corporate leadership across the public and private sectors. She served as Leasing Manager of the government-owned NDC-Maritime Leasing Corporation (now DBP Leasing Corporation) and has held key leadership roles at the National Development Company, Home Guaranty Corporation (now Philippine Guarantee Corporation), and The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. She holds a Master in Business Administration from Ateneo de Manila University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from the University of the Philippines Diliman.
